WE HAVE CREATED A SAFE & SERENE SHOPPING ENVIRONMENT FOR BRIDES, MOTHER-OF-THE-BRIDE & MOTHER-OF-THE-GROOM

Every possible measure has been taken to ensure the safety of our customers and staff.  This includes:

  • Making each appointment exclusive
  • Limiting the amount of guests that the Bride or Mother of the Bride/Groom can invite to their appointment
  • Making hand sanitiser available for customers and providing masks and gloves where required
  • Adhering to social distancing measures and limiting contact between consultants and customers
  • Cleaning surfaces before and after every appointment
  • We will continue to be guided by government guidelines as they are updated

OUR SATURDAY BRIDAL APPOINTMENTS INCUR A £20 REDEEMABLE BOOKING FEE

Our 90 minute Saturday appointments carry a redeemable charge of £20. On arrival to the boutique you will receive a voucher to the value of your booking fee - This can be redeemed against your dress or accessory purchase.

We can comfortably accommodate The Bride plus 3 guests.

You will experience a professional and attentive service, ensuring your time with us is fun and enjoyable. Our 180° mirror allows you to view each dress from every angle, seeing every aspect of the design. Each dress can be accessorised, giving you a true vision of your desired look.

 

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR A WEEKDAY BRIDAL APPOINTMENT?

One of the ways we've adapted in response to the Covid-19 pandemic is the introduction of our amended Appointment Fees. 

The number of appointments we're able to offer each day has now been reduced in order to facilitate additional cleaning and prep between clients, so to reflect this all appointments both weekday and weekend now incur a redeemable charge. Weekday appointments incur a £10 charge.

As always, all Appointment Fees are redeemable upon purchase.

 

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

You can call us on 01273 505766 to pay by card or payment can be made by BACS (bank transfer)  Once you have paid we will confirm your appointment by email along with our new Covid-19 Aware protocols.

 

WILL I GET A REFUND IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY PAID FOR SATURDAY APPOINTMENT?

If you cancel your appointment with 3 days notice then you will receive a refund.  For example if your appointment was scheduled for 10am on Saturday, then you need to let us know by 10am on Wednesday. There are no refunds/vouchers given for cancellations with less than 3 days notice or no-shows on the day.

 

RE-TRY APPOINTMENTS

A subsequent second appointment to retry your favourite dress on a Saturday will carry no charge. Re-try appointments are for a 45 minute duration only. This allows time to re-try your chosen dress before having your measurements taken and then filling in the relevant order forms and taking your details that we require to submit your order to the designer of your chosen dress.  Please be aware that delivery for your dress can take up to 20 weeks (This may be longer on 'specials' This depends on each designer)

 

HOW LONG DOES MY APPOINTMENT LAST?

Our Bridal Boutique are for 90 minutes.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING TIMES FOR THE BRIDAL BOUTIQUE?

Our bridal boutique is open Tuesday to Saturday by appointment only.

 

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE & MOTHER OF THE BRIDEGROOM BOUTIQUE?

Following the Covid-19 Pandemic our Occasion Wear Boutique will now be open by appointment only. Appointments are available on a Tuesday to Saturday.

 

WHEN SHOULD I START LOOKING FOR MY WEDDING DRESS?

Some of our brides find their dream dress with us straight away and do not wish to look anywhere else. Others like to visit a few other boutiques and therefore, more time is needed in the decision-making process. Consequently, you may wish to bear in mind that ideally you should aim to be ordering your dress 7-9 months prior to the date of your wedding. This takes into account the time it takes for your dress to be made to order and then, very importantly, the time needed to have your dress fitted perfectly to you.  If you are on a tight timescale, you can still come and see us as we have sample dresses which can be bought off-the-peg and adjusted to fit you.

 

DO YOU HAVE DRESSES THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO BUY OFF-THE-PEG?
Yes, we have a selection of dresses that are available to buy Off-the-Peg and take away with you on the day.

 

WHAT SIZE ARE YOUR SAMPLE DRESSES? 

Our sample dresses are generally in sizes 10, 12, 14, 16, 18. We also have a selection of sample dresses in sizes 20 and 22.

ARE ALTERATIONS AN ADDITIONAL COST?

Alterations are not included in the purchase price of your dress. We recommend you budget £180 to £300 for alterations to your bridal gown.  Every Bride will require a fitting with a seamstress to ensure the dress is tailored to her own body shape. We can provide details of independent/freelance seamstresses who work from their own home or studio. These Independent/Freelance seamstresses are not employed by the company Blessings, they are bridal seamstresses with a wealth of experience in bridal and occasion wear alterations and whom all work independently.

In House Thursday Fittings can be arranged within our boutique for a fee of £40. Fittings in our boutique take place on a Thursday afternoon/evening by appointment only. Your alteration charge is not paid to Blessings but paid directly to your seamstress by cash or BACS. Please allow a minimum of 12 weeks for your fittings unless otherwise advised.
